Sport injury and homeopathy

Updated: Nov 9, 2022

This is a case of a 21 years old young man, thin, tall and athletic. He loves any sport related to board; Skateboard, water board, surfboard, snowboard. Just give him the speed and excitement.

On his last Ski trip, unfortunately he had an accident; while snowboarding his snowboard bumped into something in the snow and he fell, supporting his fall with his arms mostly the left side. He was taken to the emergency clinic and an X-ray showed a tear of the acromioclavicular ligament level 3, which might require surgery. (Can be seen in the X-ray below). His arm was put in a sling to avoid movement.

Fortunately he had Arnica 30C with him, and he started taking it every 3 hours. The first night was very painful but the next day he felt better and enjoyed touring the town, until the next day when his flight back was scheduled. Luckily he enjoyed few days of snowboarding before the accident.

After his return he went to see an orthopedic surgeon, who told him he took very good care of himself and he wont need surgery. He was sent to physiotherapy.

After the diagnosis I suggested he take Ruta 30C every day, until full range is achieved with no pain.

The first time he went to physiotherapy the physiotherapist was impressed with the range of motion despite the type of injury.

He continued to improve and 2 weeks later he had full range of motion pain free.

Few factors contributed to his fast healing;

One, obviously being young and active

Second, his constitutional treatment, which contributed to being in good health

Third, taking Arnica immediately after the accident

Last, The remedy Ruta graveolens, which matched the type of injury and sensation.

Homeopathy is a wonderful aid in any injury or after operation for faster better healing. It can substitute or go along conventional medicine.

Please note: Homeopathic consultation with a professional homeopath is necessary. Please consult a homeopath!
